Mercedes V-Class vs Sprinter: Which Transfer Vehicle Do You Need?

"Should I book the V-Class or the Sprinter?" We probably get asked this ten times a day. They're both Mercedes, they're both in our fleet, but they're built for different situations. So let's make this easy.

The Mercedes V-Class -- Our Most Popular Vehicle

Honestly, the V-Class is hard to beat for most private transfers in Mallorca. Seven individual leather captain seats, each with its own armrest and recline. Ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, and enough headroom that even tall passengers aren't ducking. It feels more like a business-class cabin than a van.

How Many People?

Up to seven passengers, each in their own forward-facing seat with a USB charging port. For couples or small families, it feels almost extravagantly spacious. Business travellers can rearrange the rear seats to face each other for a conference layout -- useful on longer drives when you need to get work done.

Will My Luggage Fit?

The rear compartment takes up to seven full-size suitcases. Got pushchairs, golf bags, or oversized gear? No problem -- the cargo area is flexible. And if you're only four people, the back seats fold flat for even more storage.

Who's It For?

Families arriving at the airport. Couples who want a bit of luxury. Small groups doing day trips around Mallorca. Business travellers who need room to work. Basically anyone with seven passengers or fewer who cares about comfort.

The Mercedes Sprinter -- When You've Got a Bigger Group

Once you go past seven people, the V-Class isn't big enough. That's where the Sprinter comes in. Ours is kitted out with luxury seating for up to 16 passengers -- which, trust us, is a completely different animal from a standard minibus. Wedding parties, corporate delegations, family reunions -- the Sprinter handles all of them.

How Many People?

Sixteen passengers, each in an individual reclining seat with overhead air con and USB charging. The roofline is high enough that people can stand up and move around, which makes a real difference on hour-long drives. The wide centre aisle also makes getting on and off easy, especially for older passengers or anyone with mobility issues.

Will My Luggage Fit?

There's a dedicated luggage bay that holds 16 full-size cases. If you're travelling lighter, you can use the overhead racks inside the cabin too. Bottom line: you won't need a second vehicle just for bags.

Who's It For?

Wedding guest shuttles. Corporate groups on the same flight. Extended families. Golf groups. Any situation where 8 to 16 people need to travel together without cramming into multiple cars.

So How Do They Actually Compare?

They're both Mercedes, so the build quality is there. But the V-Class has a more intimate, car-like feel -- air suspension, captain seats, the premium details. The Sprinter trades that intimacy for space and practicality. Ride-wise, the V-Class drives like a large car. The Sprinter feels bigger (because it is), but it's surprisingly smooth and stable.

On the road, the V-Class has the edge on narrow Tramuntana mountain routes where you appreciate the tighter dimensions. The Sprinter is at its best on motorway runs and the airport transfer, where that bigger engine really earns its keep.

Need Even More Space?

If you've got more than 16, we have a luxury minibus seating up to 35. Big corporate events, conferences, large wedding parties -- it's the most cost-effective way to move everyone at once.

Still Not Sure?

Just tell us how many people and how much luggage. We'll recommend the right vehicle. Both come with complimentary water, WiFi and child seats if you need them. Both are driven by professional, English-speaking chauffeurs who know the island inside out. The only real difference is size.
